REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY
This policy outlines the terms and conditions for refunds and cancellations related to workshops and educational services provided by Consensus. By booking a workshop, you agree to the terms below.
1. Statutory Right to Cancel (14-Day Cooling-Off Period)
In accordance with the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have a legal right to cancel your booking and receive a full refund within 14 days of the date of purchase, without giving any reason.
How to Cancel: To exercise this right, you must inform us of your decision to cancel via a clear statement sent to our contact email.
Express Consent for Early Starts: If you book a workshop that is scheduled to begin within 14 days of your purchase, you expressly request that the service begins before the end of the cancellation period. You acknowledge that if the service is fully performed (i.e., the workshop takes place) within this period, your right to cancel and receive a refund will be lost.
2. Standard Cancellation Policy (After 14 Days)
If you wish to cancel your booking after the initial 14-day cooling-off period has expired, the following terms apply:
More than 14 days before the start date: You will receive a full refund, minus a £10 administrative fee to cover non-refundable payment processing and administrative costs.
7 to 14 days before the start date: You will be eligible for a 50% refund of the total booking fee.
Less than 7 days before the start date: No refunds will be issued. At this stage, resources have been allocated and we are unlikely to be able to reallocate your spot to another student.
3. Non-Attendance and Partial Completion
Missed Sessions: If a workshop consists of multiple sessions, no pro-rata refunds or credits will be provided for individual sessions missed by the participant.
Late Arrivals: No refunds will be issued for participants who arrive late or are unable to access a digital session due to personal technical issues.
4. Cancellations and Changes by Consensus
While we strive to deliver all scheduled workshops, Consensus reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a session due to low enrollment, facilitator illness, or unforeseen circumstances.
Rescheduling: If a session is moved to a new date, you will be offered a spot on the new date. If you cannot attend the rescheduled session, you will receive a full refund for that specific session.
Full Cancellation: If Consensus cancels a workshop entirely, you will receive a 100% refund of all fees paid within 7–10 working days.
5. Participant Conduct
Consensus maintains a strict Code of Conduct based on mutual respect and intellectual humility. If a participant is removed from a workshop due to harassing, defamatory, or intentionally disruptive behaviour, no refund will be issued for any remaining part of the course.
6. Processing Refunds
All refunds will be processed using the original method of payment (e.g., the credit or debit card used at checkout). Please allow 5–10 business days for the funds to appear in your account, depending on your bank's processing times
